Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) are invited to attend the 2010 MVP Global Summit at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue and at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington, from February 16 through 19. Invitations are also extended to Regional Directors (RDs).

This year’s event will provide opportunities for MVPs to network and socialize with their technical peers, build stronger relationships with Microsoft product teams, and hear from Microsoft executives. While some sessions will provide access to exclusive technical content, others will be highly interactive and focus on feedback and listening.

I had a really great time there. I had the opportunity to meet not only my US colleagues but a lot of MVPs coming from the Region I manage: from the Baltic Region to the Balkans, from Greece to Croatia (and of course Italy) and I had so much fun !!!!

So, as you can see, the MVP Global Summit was not only techie (of which, of course, most of the things cannot be divulged as part of their NDA) but was a great opportunity to talk and give face to some of the most incredible community sustainers (I would say, the engine of Community 2.0) that, day over day, year over year, spend their time helping and supporting users in their everyday life with a PC. User Groups and Communities like Autoexec.gr, MSCommunity.net, SofiaDev.org, CDNUG, ENETA, dotNETZone, UgiDotNet, XeDotNet, UGISS, Lithuanian .NET User Group, MSForge, SQLServer.ro and many many more (believe me, this is so appropriate !!)
